How do you know your own energy?
You might say that there are two kinds of energy in existence - your own energy, and energy that isn't yours.
The tricky part of this is knowing the difference between the two. It's not that the energy that isn't yours is wrong, it's that it won't work as well inside of you as your own energy will. If you’re constantly running someone else’s emotions, fears, pain, demands, or something else through you, your connection to your own energy will be dulled or difficult for you to know. This can create effort and discomfort inside of you.
Your energy is unique, and it's the best fuel you can have running through you. So, how can you tell which energy is yours, and which isn't?
Every being on this planet has a unique vibration, a one of a kind spirit.
Some of them don't look so unique, because they are being something other than themselves. This includes people who match to and run each other's energy. Matching to others isn't necessarily a problem, but it’s great to know your own energy, and validate it for yourself.
If you want to live in your own truth, and to know yourself, it's necessary to find your true energy.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, find your answers, write that masterpiece, perform on your own stage, live your life on your terms, turn on your unique abilities, know who you truly are... you've got to find out what your energy is, and also what it isn't.
"Millions of people live their entire lives without finding themselves. But it is something I must do." -Marilyn Monroe
Your own energy is the best energy for you.
Your energy is the most healing energy for you. It's the best energy to run through you, body and spirit. When you have your own energy working for you, it's much easier to create what it is you want to have for yourself. You are more likely to be and feel well, and to let go of those things that don't serve you.
With your own true energy working for you, you can heal yourself.
Many people think there's something wrong with their energy. I've been asked that quite a number of times in readings and classes, usually along the lines of "What's wrong with my energy?" or: "Do I have bad energy?". My answer is always 'no, it's not your true energy that's the problem here'. If you've been running stress, anxiety, pain, negativity, someone else's anger, or any other uncomfortable energy through you, it will be much more difficult to know what your energy actually is.
In fact, you may not have much of it with you - you might have left it all over the place, given some away, left it in past situations or thrown it out ahead of you into the future. Doing all of this can make it seem to you as if your own energy is flawed.
Knowing the difference between what is yours, and what isn't, and letting go of what's not you, frees you up to stop solving uncomfortable energy that gets in your way.
Present time is the place to be.
The more of your energy you can have with you now, the safer you will be on all levels of yourself, body and spirit. When you bring yourself back home again to the present moment, life is happier and more fun. The more scattered you are, energetically speaking, the more difficult it will be to know who you are, and what your energy truly is.
Meditation is a valuable way to collect yourself back again and be present. A grounded meditation can help you to feel more real, and give you permission to safely release what you've taken on that just isn't yours. Just as leaving your energy all over the place does you no good when you need it, so does taking on all kinds of energies that simply don't work inside of you well, because they aren't yours.
Energy itself is a language you can learn to speak. Once you begin, it's a fascinating study, as are you. You are far more interesting and wealthier with knowledge than you might have given yourself credit for being. Taking the time to learn who you truly are and what your energy really is all about, is the most important task you can take on for yourself.
"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique." -Martha Graham
